Bormio Ski School: Three Stories, One New School
Scuola Nazionale, Hang Five and Alta Valtellina have joined forces as one school with around 60 instructors: Bormio's new reference point for skiing, snowboarding and mountain experiences.
A Story That Keeps Growing
From National Tradition to the New Bormio School
Scuola Sci Nazionale Bormio was founded in 1936 and has helped generations discover snow sports in the Magnifica Terra. Today that tradition is joined by two strong local identities: Alta Valtellina, rooted directly on the slopes at Bormio 2000, and Hang Five, a snowboard school founded in 2007 and known for freestyle, freeride and rider progression.
This union does not erase those identities: it brings them into one stronger system. Alpine skiing, snowboarding, freeride, telemark, children, beginners, technical improvement and race-oriented training now live within one organization, easier to access and more complete for every guest choosing Bormio.
The New Identity
Three Schools United as One Reference Point
The new Scuola Nazionale Sci & Snowboard Bormio brings together different and complementary skills. The goal is to offer a coordinated, recognizable and internationally minded service for the entire Bormio ski area.
Hang Five
The snowboard specialization: private and group lessons, freestyle, freeride, kids, beginners and advanced riders.
Alta Valtellina
The operational presence on the slopes of Bormio 2000 and everyday knowledge of the local mountain area.

The Mission of the New School
Our mission is to make snow sports accessible, safe and motivating at every level: first-time skiers and snowboarders, improving guests, park riders, freeride lovers and athletes seeking technical training. Every lesson starts from clear goals, personal attention and real knowledge of the Bormio slopes.
Around 60 Instructors, One Team
The heart of the school is a team of around 60 snow professionals: ski and snowboard instructors, federal coaches, former athletes, national instructors and alpine guides. Each member brings specific expertise, with one shared direction: teaching technique, confidence and passion through a clear, modern and personalized approach.
